What Is Jimmy Swaggart Bible College?

Jimmy Swaggart Bible College is a Pentecostal College for equipping Spirit-anointed students to fulfill their God-ordained roles in world evangelism.

About

The founding of a Bible College to prepare men and women for an in-depth, Spirit-filled ministry was the dream of Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart for a number of years. He felt such an institution will play an important role in evangelizing the world as the coming of Christ draws near. As a result of this vision, JSBC opened in the fall of 1984. The goal of JSBC is to build students into the kind of men and women God wants them to be. From its doors JSBC is sending out missionaries, evangelists, pastors, teachers and leaders to all the world.

Dynamic Pentecostal Atmosphere

The distinct emphasis of JSBC is the anointing of the Holy Spirit, and it is this ongoing principle upon which the College was founded and continues to operate. From chapel services, which are often referred to as the classroom of the Holy Spirit, to the classrooms and the residence halls, JSBC is dedicated to fostering an atmosphere where the Holy Spirit is allowed to operate.

The campus community is encouraged to spend daily time in prayer and personal devotions. Many opportunities exist for students and staff to fellowship together and seek the face of the Lord, both on campus and at Family Worship Center.

Ministry opportunities abound for the JSBC student, including their weekly practicums as well as participation in the annual Resurrection Campmeeting, International Youth Conference, and the International Kids Conference.

Distinctives of JSBC

JSBC has the privilege of being associated with the worldwide outreach of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries via its various media channels. This bring each student into direct contact with men and women of God who are called to preach the Message of the Cross to a lost and dying world. All students are aware and expectant that they are a part of a mighty last day move of God’s Spirit.

JSBC admits students of any race, color, national, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
